It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of Reynaldo “Rey” de Sagun last June 25, 2018 due to heart failure. Vrod Rey is a founding member of the UP Varrons. He is survived by his wife, Jicky, his two sons Echoy and Arnold, and their respective families.

On July 3, 2018, Echoy and Arnold joined the undergarduate and alumni members in a mass offered for the soul of vrod Rey, which was held at the St Therese of the Child Parish Shrine. The mass was followed by a simple salo-salo at the Chelsea restaurant where Echoy, vrods Severino “Verong” Vergara (Batch ’68) and Romeo “Romy” Huelgas (The Original ’62) and sis Asuncion “Cion” Karganilla-Raymundo (Original Varronettes ’63) shared their stories and memories of Vrod Rey.
