Varrons@50 Fund Raising Report

A little less than two years ago, we launched the Varrons@50 Challenge, a fund raising campaign for the scholarship program of the Varrons Foundation Inc (VFI). We are more than happy to report that we have exceeded our goal by about 22%. We would not have accomplished this without your undying help and support. For this, we say thank you for answering the call. The list of donors are shown below.

Here are the highlights of the campaign (the figures are approximate taking into account the fluctuating conversion rates for pledges in US dollars):

Total pledges as of end of August 2012: approximately Php 610,000.00

Included in the above amount is about Php 71,500.00 that is pledged towards the UP Varrons Supplemental Support Grant

Total amount collected as of end of August 2012: about Php 550,000.00

The amount we collected will strongly support our two scholarship projects: (1) UPVL Undergraduate Thesis Writing Support Grant being undertaken through the Office of Student Affairs, and (2) the Supplemental Support Grant that we just launched this school year. This latter program caters to the needs of deserving undergraduate resident members. More information is available in the link provided above.

We may have ended the pledge drive as we are winding down with our organization’s golden anniversary celebration but the online pledge/donation form is accessible by clicking this link. So, whenever you have the desire to give for a good cause, it would be right there in your fingertips.

As a reminder for those who have not turned in their pledges, please bear with us if you will constantly hear from us until . . . :-). We will send the individual follow-up letters by person or via email.
