Congratulations to Teresita “Tess” Harina-Borromeo (Rodeo ’74). Tess is one of the recipients of the National Research Council of the Philippines’ Achievement Award for 2015 in the science area of agriculture & forestry. The award was given in a ceremony that coincided with the 82nd NRCP Scientific Meeting and General Membership Assembly on March 11, 2015 held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Manila.
Tess is a plant breeding expert and one of her areas of research is in germplasm conservation. She is a professor in the Department of Agronomy and the head of the Plant Genetic Resources Division, Crop Science Cluster, College of Agriculture, UP Los Baños.
