Our warmest congratulations to Melinda “Mel” dela Pena Bandalaria (First Quarter Storm ’78) for her recent appointment as an Ambassador for Open Educational Resources (OER) by the International Council for Distance Education (ICDE). Concurrently she is also being appointed as a member of the ICDE Advisory Committee. Both appointments are for two years until 2022.

Sis Mel is currently the Chancellor of the UP Open University (UPOP). She is known as a strong advocate for open education and distance learning.
