The Varrons Organizational Leadership Training Seminar was conducted at Tahanan ng Ama, Putho, Los Banos, Laguna last May 31 to June 2, 2013, a three-day seminar full of joy, jam-packed with new information, and a feeling of a new beginning.

Months of preparation, tons of sweat, determination, dedication and immeasurable brotherhood from the Varrons Organizational Leadership Training Seminar (VOLTS) organizers were showcased while preparing for this life-changing experience. Life changing growth not only as a member of the organization but also as an individual, as we walk closer to reality, as many say, “inch by inch we are moving closer.”
First of all, as an undergrad and on behalf of our spirited brothers and sisters, we want to apologize to alumni for making you all feel disappointed because of the instance when the first attempt to conduct the VOLTS was postponed due to lack of cooperation from the undergrads. I also take this opportunity to send my gratitude to vrods and sisses who believed, supported, and guided us when it seems everyone is hopeless to the undergrads.
I am lucky I became part of this once in a lifetime experience. Although many other organizations conduct leadership trainings like this; for me, this one’s not included on the page – this training was different. Not in terms of the activities and modules included but in the aura that surrounds the undergrads. I don’t know if it is just me who felt this, but I believe all the trainees felt the love, will and spirit to bring this organization to the top again – to make UP Varrons Ltd. the cream of the crop, to correct the mistakes and misguidance, and to give a brighter future that we can all be proud of, as it used to be and as it supposed to be. I reiterate, it was the vibration I felt the moment I walked to the rooms of Tahanan Ng Ama.
I will not go on telling every details of each activity, but I will tell my experiences during this three-day seminar. Everyone knows, feel rather, that recently our beloved organization was at the end of the cliff hanging by a thread – or at least that was what I felt when I joined the organization. Everyone is striving to keep the organization alive, I know so; I felt the love even though I was an outsider for a time when I was still an applicant. There were little sparks on my heart saying: “I can help UPVL climb up this cliff again”, a thought before this training was conducted. Being one of the newest members of the organization,my experience is lacking, my understanding is not enough, my idea on becoming part of one is unclear – but thanks to VOLTS I was able to fill the gaps of knowing the organization, and become a blooded VARRON.
This training serves to realize our position and role of being a VARRON and made our eyes wide open and broke the mask that kept us away from the organization. Everyone woke up from a bad dream and started to see what the reality in front of us was. It is the feeling of being reborn, re-energized and motivated. Now those little sparks inside my heart became flames, became the starting point that says: “We will do the best we can to work hand-in-hand towards the impossible dream”;that the thread pulling the organization down became a foundation – stronger, bigger, and better. Expect many changes from us- undergrads – expect a new beginning.
Again, thank you for giving us a second chance to prove that in our hand too,we can reach the unreachable star “AD ASTRA PER ASPERA.”
