As the full moon rises from the waters
The seaside village watches with glee
The moon shines on a typical summer
Moonlight revellers by the sea.The children frolicked on the beach
Chasing each other and some crabs
That scaped their holes and peeped
On the commotion created above.Women chatted about anything
Happy with just sands on their toes
While men debate what a moon shining
Brings to end fish scarcity woes.As they soak in nature’s sky wonder
A child gazes intently at the sparkles
The moon has cast on the water
Silvery peaks of waves like miracles. He casts a smile as he build dreams
How he could capture the sight
For others to behold or let out screams
Marvelling at the encased light. In his tender age once asked his mother
To interpret what birds really say
As their dawn chorus emitted chatter
Indelible from his young heart that day.He believed the moon will remain
When he becomes a man one day
To inspire from seemingly mundane
Village sights like tonight’s Silverbay.
