We like to take this opportunity to comment on some of the Varrons’ email names. If you have not wondered about the email names of your brods and sis, then your self-confidence is probably way up there.  You are probably mumbling “who is this idiot asking this question?” You can stop reading at this point and move on to other pages.E-names

But if you are the type of person who always wonders “why did he/she use such a name” whenever you receive an email from such and such Varron, then you are welcome to be part of the 12-step program. The first step is acceptance – you are so insecure to even ask that question. Well, you cannot help it. Straight forward names like analeeverge, gennypadilla, madriagahere, leandro_sanchez_2005 or jose_kanapi are just probably so blaaah for your taste (with apologies to those whose names are used as examples; don’t you worry since you are not alone – more than 90% of your brods and sis are just like you). Some of you may think “I can teach this brod or that sis how to add a little bit of flair with their e-names.” Names like rj3kings may perk your interest a little bit but you realize eventually that it is just a variation of their names (that is, if you happen to know them). And then . . . there are those that you would consider as Varrons die hards (disclaimer here: there is absolutely nothing wrong with that but we are talking about being “cool” here). At the back of your mind you are probably asking if ruby_upvl, eman_upvl, varronroldan, varronsakr, swc_varrons, varrondoc, redvaron67 (you have to forgive this member by using just one “r”), and rene_buklod96 deserve an award or something by including the V word or the name of the batch in their e-names? Then, you wake up and realize . . . naaah. But what about if somebody includes UPLB (e.g., remuplb and bon8sqr_uplb) in his e-name? Pleeeease, don’t even think about it.

You have to forgive teacher_detty and lovehope_06 for being so passionate about their preoccupations. But john_censored, rpsprefabsproutand, urtbalaoz, and morning7_oli? What are these names all about? The names ogie_pogi76, guapogie, and contreraspogi may be self-explanatory but have you ever wondered if “it” is really true? For that, you say “picture please and judgment will be made later.” What about advir829, glo00677, buttercup_091183, plm1116, kaga9133041, dynamix132000. The numbers alone will make you wonder “are they into numerology?” And “how could they ever remember those numbers?” Aaaahhh, you sigh. At the end, you just have to convince yourself that part of the whole thing of deciphering those numbers is “to really know” the persons behind those numbers. Perhaps not a bad idea, after all.

And then, when you are about to give up the realm of coolness, here comes vee1st and you realize “how cool is that? . . . then you say “at last – being cool is not dead in the electronic world of Varrons.” For now, that is the last word from a Sentimental Varron.

[In the interest of full disclosure of possible conflict of interest, all the members of the virtual Tudla staff are planning a trip to Vancouver and looking for a place to stay. This plan does not necessarily influence our choice (vee1st) as being the coolest e-name.]
