You are one of the Varrons who married another Varron. What insights can you share on this?
It just happened naturally as you went through the Varrons activities at na-develop ang mag Vrod and Sis!

I love the Varrons that is why I married a Varron . . . and having a Vrod as a boyfriend was the “in” thing at that time. Nars and I will always be supportive of Varrons and their activities because without the organization, we wouldn’t have known each other more deeply. As far as I can remember, the popular couples at that time were Boboy Villanueva and Mayen Monte, Mar Torrizo and Lina Baraoidan, Aris Sarmiento and Laura del Castillo, Jun Collado and Lilia Suralta, Robert Santos and Malou Baraoidan, Nestor Manalo and Mutya Quintos, Tantso de Guzman and Pola Credo, and Manny Bonita and Roucelle Lee. As attested by their current surnames, these guys eventually ended up blissfully together.

Please narrate the circumstances that introduced you to the UP Varrons Ltd. What was the clincher that made you decide to join the organization?

It was Vrod Greg Begonia who initially told me about the organization and I had the impression that most of the members of Varrons had excellent academic records. Then I met Edwin Javier, Edmund Sana, etc….and noticed Nars Bajet and that was it!!

Aside from the romantic angle, can you share some of the memorable moments you had with the UPVL?
We had fun activities sa organization, we did our own fund-raising activities, made cards for Christmas, nag-raid ng kusina at pagkain nina Pola. At may Varrons house pa noon sa likod ng Mens dorm (aka Copeland Heights; ngayon Mens dorm na pang Womens na!). Ang mga parties, sobrang dilim . . . at formal ang mga suot pag nagpa-picture.

What are some of your takes on Varrons joining politics? Do you think the org is a good training ground for future politicians who are genuinely willing to help and serve the country?
I believe in the Varrons heart and spirit and our guiding principles and you start from there. I believe it is a good training ground for future leaders.

On topic as whether a friend request is to be accepted or ignored, a Facebook user (name withheld for privacy reason) once said: “I ignored the friend request from my mother-in-law . . . she is not speaking to me anymore since. . . I guess that’s the point . . . LOL.” What is your “cut off” for FB friends? Or is there such a thing?
I don’t have so much time to devote to FB so I accept those friends or relatives who are intimately close to my heart, or know personally or students/collaborators I want to track either personally or professionally. Sometimes I just read and browse to know what’s happening and I respond once in a while if I can’t help it.
